The Evil Parvovirus

We learned a big lesson in keeping vaccines up to date last week. Mickey contracted parvo. For two days he was in and out of the Vet's getting fluid and antibiotic injections. On the third day he started to eat and drink a little and on the fourth day he was back to his normal hyper-playfull self again.

If your dog(s) aren't up to date on their shots go get them! It was a very scary experience for us. But luckily it wasn't that severe and Mickey made it through without much trouble. We had Lance tested the same day that Mick started showing symptoms and he was negative for parvo and got his boosters right then and there. Mick will be going back in for his in a week or so.
